FAQs

GOT ANY QUESTIONS?

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY CURRENT AGENCY IS DOING A GOOD JOB?

Ask yourself the following questions. If the answer to any of them is ‘no’, it may be time to look for a new agency.

  • Do they have clearly defined goals and KPI’s to work towards?
  • Are they reaching or exceeding them?
  • Do they provide regular reports outlining how they perform against your objectives and exactly what is being done to achieve them?

Here’s a simple, quick technique to get an idea of how often your agency is working on your campaigns.

  1. Head over to your “change history”.
  2. Within the change history report, you can see exactly what alterations are being made and when.

Unfortunately, we’ve taken over many accounts that have been left completely untouched for weeks and, in some cases, months.

I’M DISAPPOINTED WITH MY LAST AGENCY, HOW DO I KNOW YOU WILL DO A BETTER JOB?

Good question. At Upraw, we believe wholly in our core principles. Accountability, honesty, transparency and excellence. They’re not just impressive words we throw around either. Adversely, they transcend absolutely everything we do.

Our company was built out of a frustration with the industry. We believe we can do things better. And most of the time, we do.

Too many agencies adopt a ‘stack them high and sell them cheap’ kind of approach which often manifests as poor service. Our aim is to exceed your expectations time after time by delivering a first-class service, best-in-show campaigns and, ultimately, solid returns for your business. Period.

For more information about all of this, explore our website. Alternatively, get in touch here. We’ll happily answer any questions you have.

HOW QUICKLY CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS?

The honest answer: it depends. In many cases, we see excellent results instantly. In others, it can take a little longer.

Results are determined by a number of factors: the quality of your existing campaigns (if you have any), the competitiveness of your industry, seasonality, and a range of other issues.

To provide you with a raw and accurate appraisal on when you are likely to see results, we really take the time to understand and evaluate our clients’ businesses. Championing honesty as the best policy. Always setting expectations based on extensive research and a deep understanding of your unique circumstances.

I HEARD PPC IS EXPENSIVE, HOW MUCH IS THIS GOING TO COST?

Understanding the true value of your PPC investment is critical.

One of the most attractive elements of PPC is measurability. We use analytics platforms and third party integrations to track just about everything. We set clearly defined goals and KPI’s right from the outset which align closely with your bottom line goals. Ultimately, every penny you spend should deliver a tangible return.

In some cases, CPC’s (cost per click) can be expensive but this is relative to the desired outcome. If you spend £100,000 and make £1,000,000 in return it’s likely you will want to spend more, right? With this in mind, try not to focus too much on “cost” but more on the “investment” and “ROAS” (return on ad spend).

If you’re new to PPC it’s common to set an initial starting budget. Once we’ve collected some data and analysed the results we can adjust the budget accordingly.

Our fees are extremely competitive and reduce as we grow with your business. We do not commit clients to lengthy contracts and hold ourselves accountable for meeting your expectations. In short, any costs should be absorbed as we deliver against our goal and KPI targets.

ONCE YOU BUILD THE CAMPAIGNS DON’T THEY JUST RUN THEMSELVES?

This depends on the complexity of your PPC campaigns. But often there is more work required upfront, such as extensive research, tracking requirements, campaign building and a whole host of other complexities.

Usually agencies will charge a set-up fee to balance this additional workload. Once the campaigns are launched, there is extensive testing and optimisation work required to fine tune performance. The size and complexity of the campaigns will dictate how much work is required at this stage. Over time as the campaigns become highly optimised (assuming the budget remains the same) there is less opportunity to improve performance, thus reducing the amount of management time required. It’s at this stage agencies can become complacent and leave accounts on “autopilot”. This is a fundamental mistake and missed opportunity for both the client and agency. One we don’t like to make.

We strive to build long-term relationships with clients and constantly look for opportunities to grow with them. Typically, we ask the following,

  • What can we do to expand the scope of the current campaigns?
  • Can we launch display ads?
  • Are Paid Social ads suitable?
  • Do we have the opportunity to expand into different countries?
  • Do you advertise on Bing?
  • What opportunities do we have to improve the user experience and improve conversion rates?
  • How about running a special offer that can drive more conversions?

The list of opportunities is endless. Ultimately, our ability to grow as an agency is a direct reflection of our ability to grow our clients’ businesses.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SEO & PPC?

The main difference between Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) is that traffic coming from SEO (organic) is free, while traffic generated from PPC is not free. Just as the name implies, you have to pay a cost per click.

PPC is highly measurable. You spend ‘X’ and receive ‘Y’ in return. SEO campaigns, on the other hand, are not so clear cut and are much more difficult to quantify the tangible return on investment. Therefore, anyone engaging with an SEO agency must tread carefully. Although there are some fantastic SEO teams out there, they tend to be at the higher end of the market. This is because they know from experience the hard yards they must walk to deliver a return for their clients. Realistically, solid SEO results can take months and in most cases years to generate.

Regardless of whether you invest in SEO or not, PPC will always have its place. Think of PPC as a completely separate advertising space with its own unique opportunities.

WHO DO I PAY? UPRAW OR GOOGLE?

Your agreed ad budget is paid directly to the relevant advertising platform, whether that be Google, Facebook or any other ad network. We charge a fee to manage your ad budget which is paid to us directly. All clients have 100% access to every advertising platform and there is complete transparency into where your budget is spent.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE AND DO YOU TIE CLIENTS INTO CONTRACTS?

We offer two pricing models which are both extremely competitive. We believe in 100% accountability for meeting your expectations, which is why we do not tie clients into long-term contracts. That’s the Upraw way. For full details, please visit our pricing page.

DO YOU PROVIDE ORGANIC SEO SERVICES IN ADDITION TO PPC?

We focus all our attention on providing best-in-class PPC services. If you want a rock sold PPC agency, that’s us.

CAN YOU GUARANTEE RESULTS?

Nobody can guarantee results in PPC and you should be very wary of any company that says they can. We can of course project the likelihood of success based on your current activity and competitive edge in the marketplace, but these are purely projections. We always set ourselves goals and KPI’s right from the outset based on our initial research but we can never guarantee results.

DO YOU ONLY MANAGE GOOGLE ADWORDS?

No. We also manage Bing / Yahoo, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as third party ad exchanges. For a complete breakdown, please visit our services pages.
